冶金工业 Metallurgy

    采用节能降耗、降低污染和资源综合利用的新技术、新工艺，积极发展铜工业、适时发展铝工业、优化钢铁工业，鼓励发展有色金属、黑色金属深加工及相关配套产业，延伸产业链条，把昆明建成全国重要的铜、铝工业基地和面向全省及周边地区的钢铁工业基地。

    The industry adopts new technologies and processes comprehensively using low energy consuming and low pollution materials. Kunming is active in development of copper industry, finds the prime time for development of aluminum, optimizes its iron and stee l industry, and  encourages  development  of non-ferrous  and  ferrous  metals  deep-processing  and  related  industries.  By extending the industrial chain like this, Kunming will be developed into China’s key copper and aluminum base as well as an iron and steel industrial base oriented to the entire province and neighboring regions. 

机械工业Machinery

    引进战略合作伙伴，推进机械工业集群化，加快发展自动化程度高、配套能力强、节能环保、光机电一体化的现代装备工业，把昆明建成我国重要的现代化装备制造业基地。

    Kunming   will  be   developed   into   China’s major  base of modern equipped manufacturing industry by introducing strategic business   partners,  promoting    concentration  on  machinery,  accelerating   automation,  enhancing accessory capacity, saving energy and protecting the environment, and modernizing facilities for optical, mechanical and electrical integration.

化学工业 Chemical

    利用昆明丰富的磷、盐、钛、煤资源，大力发展磷精深加工产品和精细化工产业，延长磷化工产业链，提高产品附加值。

    The fine phosphor deep-processing products  and fine chemical industry have been vigorously developed and the phosphorous chemical chain been extended with higher  value  added  products  through  use  of  the  abundant  resources  of  phosphor, salt, titanium and coal of Kunming.

能源工业  Energies

    重点推进阳宗海电厂、昆明二电厂装机项目建设，完成乌东德、白鹤滩电站进场道路建设。

    The  key  construction  projects  include  Yangzong Lake Power Plant, Kunming No. 2 Power Plant for increase of the installed capacity, and the accesses and roads into Wudongde and Baihetang power stations.

    The industry is to integrate existing resources, develop new medicine with natural herbs, with self-owned intellectual property rights, and further upgrade the series bio-pharmaceutical products including Yunnan Baiyao, notoginseng, artemether, gastrodia tuber, and breviscapine. 

农特产品加工业

Agricultural and Special Local Product Processing Industry

    以粮、烟、畜、菜、花、果深加工为主，加快良种基地建设。大力发展设施农业、外向型农业和休闲观光农业。

    The industry is mainly engaged in deep-processing of grain, tobacco, livestock, vegetables, flowers and fruits while speeding up construction  of  the  quality  variety  bases.  Besides, facility agriculture, export-oriented agriculture and leisure and sightseeing agriculture will also be developed with great efforts.
